Q: Can the statues stay outside all winter?
Yes, no problem for the vast majority of European winters. Our polyresin statues are tested to withstand frost down to -20°C. They do not crack, do not fade, and do not rust. For regions that experience particularly intense winters, with prolonged severe cold or repeated freeze-thaw cycles, we recommend a winter cover, just as you would for your potted plants. An investment of a few euros that extends the life of your statue by several years.
Q: Is polyresin as strong as stone?
Polyresin and reconstituted stone each have their qualities. Stone withstands shocks well due to its weight, but it breaks when it falls, often into large pieces that are impossible to repair. Polyresin behaves similarly in the event of a significant fall: it can crack, which is why it is important to ensure it is positioned on a stable surface. Its real advantage lies elsewhere: it weighs about half as much as an equivalent piece in reconstituted stone, which greatly facilitates transport, setup, and any potential relocations. And above all, polyresin allows for castings with a precision that stone cannot achieve. Every hair of fur, every muscle fold, every expression is reproduced identically. A reconstituted stone statue will always have a more raw and less detailed appearance.
Q: Are the statues handmade?
Each statue starts from a mold made from original sculptures, to capture every detail. Once demolded, it is hand-painted by our artisans, layer by layer, to achieve shades and depth effects that are impossible to reproduce industrially. Slight variations between two pieces are therefore quite normal. This is precisely what gives each piece its unique character.
Q: Can a statue be placed directly on the lawn?
Yes. For optimal results on soft ground, place a small slab under the base to prevent gradual sinking. On a terrace or paved path, no special precautions are necessary. In all cases, ensure that the statue rests on a flat and stable surface to avoid any tipping.
Q: How to maintain a polyresin statue?
No regular maintenance is necessary. A simple wipe with a damp sponge at the beginning of the season is enough to restore its original shine. Avoid pressure washers that can abrade the paint over time.
